  6. Simtel.Net, which is located at Walnut Creek CDROM, is the origin point
  7. of Keith Petersen's world-wide distribution network for Shareware,
  8. Freeware, and Public Domain programs for MS-DOS, Windows 3.x, and
  9. Windows 95.

  11. Files submitted to Simtel.Net are reviewed by professional archivists.
  12. Authors receive *prompt* attention in the processing and announcing of
  13. their uploads, which appear in comp.archives.msdos.announce (about 90,000
  14. readers) and in our MS-News mailing list (for those who do not have
  15. access to Usenet News).

  17.                    How to upload to Simtel.Net
  18.  
  19. Simtel.Net does not publish instructions for uploading files because we
  20. prefer to coordinate uploads by having contributors contact us first so
  21. we can check to make sure the program is not already in the archive.
  22.  
  23. File uploads are accepted via FTP using a special uploading account,
  24. via e-mail using a special mailbox which does not interfere with
  25. regular correspondence, and via modem.
  26.  
  27. Authors (or authors' authorized agents), if you have a program to upload
  28. please send e-mail to upl-info@Simtel.Net with a short description of the
  29. files you wish to submit.  Please do not send files to that mailbox.

  31. Simtel.Net does not accept games for submission to the archives unless
  32. they are strictly educational.  Games which do meet this requirement
  33. may be submitted to the games collection at Walnut Creek CDROM.  Upload
  34. instructions can be found in file /pub/games/incoming/00README.TXT on
  35. ftp.cdrom.com.

  37. We cannot accept any program that encrypts or decrypts using a method
  38. that may be subject to export restrictions.
